Le 26 janvier 2018, la commission de la sécurité sociale et de la santé publique du Conseil national a déposé une motion recommandant l’adoption d’une législation cohérente sur les personnes « sans-papiers ». La série de billets de blog qui commencera lundi prochain a pour objectif de reprendre et discuter certains des éléments mis en avant par la motion en lien avec les connaissances scientifiques actuelles.

Simultaneously, in Australia several parliamentarians had to relinquish their seat, because it turned out that they had dual citizenship. Thinking about dual citizenship of elected politicians, four points are to be considered: “awareness” and the “possibility to renounce” where a prohibition for dual citizens to run for office is in force, as well as “loyalty” and “representation”, the basic arguments used when creating such prohibitions.
